Union County MDJ Traffic Courts
Traffic citations and many summary matters are handled at the Magisterial District Court level unless appealed or connected to higher-level criminal charges. What Traffic Court Records Show
A Union County traffic docket is a court case record. It may show the citation number, court office, participant name, charge or vehicle code section, plea, disposition, fines, costs, payment status, hearing dates, warrant or failure-to-appear events, and appeal activity. It does not necessarily show PennDOT license points, full license status, insurance consequences, or a complete driver history.

Pay or Contest a Ticket
The UJS portal links to PAePay for paying traffic tickets, court costs, fines, restitution, bail, and probation or parole fees. Limited-access cases cannot be paid online because they are not publicly visible in the same way. If PAePay does not find the case or does not allow payment, contact the MDJ office listed on the citation before assuming the matter is resolved.
To contest a ticket, follow the citation instructions and the MDJ court's procedure. The official MDJ FAQ states that a criminal or traffic appeal must be filed within 30 days after conviction with the County Clerk of Courts, which provides the form and accepts the filing fee. The case is then heard by a Common Pleas judge.

Court Record vs Driver Record
A Union County traffic court record is not a PennDOT driver record. The court record is the case file for the citation or traffic matter. It shows what happened in court. The state driver record is the licensing file that may show convictions, points, suspensions, and license status after court reporting. PennDOT driver-record portal details were outside the located research source set, so court copy should not claim PennDOT fees, driver-record formats, or access steps that were not documented.

DUI, CDL, and Serious Traffic Matters
Some traffic-related events do not stay in a simple summary ticket path. DUI cases can involve criminal charges, treatment court eligibility, bail, probation, sentencing, and Common Pleas docket activity. CDL and commercial-driver consequences can involve licensing and reporting issues beyond the local court docket. The research file did not locate Union-specific CDL diversion or defensive-driving rules, so do not assume a county program exists without checking the citation, the issuing MDJ court, and any PennDOT notice.

Access Limits and Copies
Traffic dockets are court case records governed by Pennsylvania UJS public access rules. A web docket is also not a Pennsylvania State Police criminal history background check.
